Adtech® 9146 is designed for the bonding of metal, wood, ceramic, ferrite and plastic materials.
Adtech® 9146 has been formulated from innovative technology, which enables it to achieve the ultimate balance of mechanical strength & impact resistance whilst still remaining both simple & quick to use. It is very versatile, and can bond a wide variety of substrates without the need for surface primers or conditioners. Typical applications include bonding magnets and ferrites to casings, bonding metal frames to laminated glass in furniture assembly and bonding plastic handles to metal shafts.
Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are smooth, clean and free from dust or other deposits.
Carry out surface preparation where required. Apply the activator to one surface and allow the solvent to flash off. Apply adhesive to the other surface and assemble components carefully, clamping if required. It is always easier to remove any excess adhesive prior to cure using a suitable cleaner. Allow the adhesive sufficient time to achieve handling strength before moving or unclamping components.

Use with proper ventilation.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
If adhesive gets into eye, keep eye open and rinse thoroughly. Seek medical attention immediately.
Keep well out of reach of children.
Adtech® 9146 should be stored in the original containers in a cool, dry place, at a temperature range of between 5°C and 25°C. In these conditions it has a storage life of at least 12 months

how long does the 9146 slow hardener 1008 take to set?
Bonita2 Years Ago
The Adtech 1008 is an activator, not a hardener, therefore it doesn’t have a setting time. It is used with the Adtech 9146, being applied to the surfaces that are more difficult to bond to activate them. The Adtech 9146 has a handling strength in 1 minute at 20°C.
