Adtech Mitre Bond Adhesive Kit

Product Overview

Adtech® Mitre Bond Adhesive kit comprises of a medium viscosity superfast cyanoacrylate adhesive and an aerosol containing activator.  It is designed for the bonding of a wide range of plastics, rubbers, timber, metal components, fabrics, ceramic, leather and ‘difficult polymers’. Bonds to many substrates and usually achieves bonds stronger than the material itself.

PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are smooth, clean and free from dust or other deposits. 

Apply adhesive sparingly to one surface, and spray the other surface with a light coat of activator, align the components and bring the surfaces together quickly. 

Apply sufficient clamping pressure to ensure the adhesive spreads out effectively. 

Allow to fully cure before applying load or stress. 

Excess adhesive can be carefully cleaned up with solvents such as acetone.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

Part A (Adhesive)

Use with proper ventilation.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

If contact with skin occurs, rinse with warm water or dissolve gradually with appropriate debonder.  Do not try to remove forcibly.

If adhesive gets into eye, keep eye open and rinse thoroughly. Seek medical attention immediately.

Keep well out of reach of children.

Adtech® Mitre Bond Adhesive should be stored in the original containers in a cool, dry place, at a temperature range of between 5°C and 7°C.  In these conditions it has a storage life of at least 12 months

Part B (Activator)

For safe handling of this product, consult the Safety Data Sheet.  Adtech® Activators are formulated for use in conjunction with Adtech® adhesives

Use with proper ventilation.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Store Adtech® Mitre Bond Activator in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Keep lids tightly closed to avoid evaporation of the solvent carrier.  When stored in the original container at 21°C, Adtech® Mitre Bond Activator has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture
