Preliminaries

1. Apollo (A74) is supplied in 380ml spouted cartridges which fit standard hand or powered guns.

2. All joint surfaces must be dry and free from grease, dust and loose particles. Metal surfaces can be cleaned with White Spirit or Apollo Solvent 1. Masonry and concrete should be allowed to mature and dry-out and loose dust brushed from the surface.

Application

1. Apollo (A74)should be applied to one surface only in the form of a 1/4" (6mm) beadnormally around the periphery of the panel being bonded. For heavier materials, and/or large panels, additional beads of mastic will be required.

2. For small areas, Apollo(A74)may also be applied in blobs (about walnut size) at 12"centres.

3. Bonds should be made within 30 minutes of application and heavy substrates may need to be supported in position for a few hours whilst the mastic acquires strength.

4. An alternative procedure is to make the bond as above and then hinge the substrates apart for 5 to 10 minutes (leaving mastic on both surfaces) and then re-bond.

5. After 30 minutes the beads become surface dry and an adequate cure is reached within 24 hours.
