Apollo Transport (A7625) has been specifically developed for applications within the transport industry, including aircraft seats, car interiors, panel bonding and other applications where flame retardancy is essential. It is a one-way stick sprayable polyurethane contact adhesive.

Apollo Transport (A7625) creates a flexible yet high strength bond line that is resistant to extreme temperatures (-40-120°C) and is also flame retardant. It is compliant with the latest aviation standard from the European Aviation Safety Agency, certification specification ‘CS- 25 clause 25.853(a)’.

Instructions for use:

Substrate preparation/priming:

1. Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean and free from grease and other contaminants. Metal surfaces in particular should be grease free and cut foam should not be contaminated with silicone lubricants from the cutting operation.

Application:

1.  Apollo Transport (A7625) may be sprayed through most equipment, but for best results we recommend a DeVilbiss JGV-562 gun fitted with an FX fluid tip/needle and a 777 air-cap. A material pressure of 20-70 psi is required.

2. Apply Apollo Transport (A7625) to one surface of the glue line. The amount required will depend on the porosity of the substrates (usually the less porous is sprayed), but is normally in the range of 28-55 grams (dry) per square metre.

3. The surfaces can be joined within 1-4 minutes of the adhesive being sprayed (depending on the atmospheric conditions).

4. Apply pressure via nip rollers or a short period in a platen or other type of press.
