Aro-Bond® 1007 is a two component epoxy based primer for a variety of metallic substrates, with excellent adhesion to steel, galvanised steel and non-ferrous metals.
Aro-Bond® 1007 epoxy primer is ideally suited to metal substrates on applications where interface details are complex, or where substrate adhesion is impaired.
Aro-Bond® 1007 can be used for many woodworking applications where a high level of water resistance is required, and has been successfully used for hot and cold pressing applications in the manufacture of windows, doors, cabinets, furniture and surface bonding for laminating applications. Aro-Bond® 1007 can also be cured using radio frequency equipment.
Ensure surfaces are clean and free from debris, fungal growth and any other contaminants before use. Certain non-ferrous matals/ galvanised steels may require special treatment e.g. abraded and/or degreased. However, it is recommended that peel-strength adhesion tests are carried out prior to application, in order to ensure suffiecient adhesion can be achieved and to determine priming requirements.
Substrate temperature should be 5°C or above for application and cure, and a minimum of 3°C above the dew point. Apply Aro-Bond® 1007 using a roller or brush at 0.05-0.10 l/m² approx.
Please contact Ureka if you have any questions regarding specific substrate preparation or application guidelines.
Aro-Bond® 1007 should be stored in unopened in a dry condition at a temperature of 5-25°C. Alansons takes every care to ensure that this product reaches you fit for purpose by protecting it with a layer of nitrogen prior to despatch.
