Aro-Bond® 684 develops high bond strength, at a rapid pace, enabling assembled units to be handled and put into service promptly.
Aro-Bond® 684 conforms to BS 6209 for non-pressure thermoplastic pipes and conduits.
Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are smooth, clean and free from dust or other deposits.
On the pipes to be bonded, cut the ends squarely. Remove swarf from inner and outer edges and lightly chamfer outer edge. Lightly abrade pipe and socket with emery cloth then de-grease with a suitable cleaning fluid. Using a clean brush, quickly apply an even and generous coating of Aro-Bond® 684 to the pipe in a lengthwise direction and a similar but lighter coat to the fitting. Immediately push together to the full depth, without twisting. Hold in place for 20-30 seconds then clean off excess adhesive. Allow at least 10 minutes before handling and a further 8 hours before putting into service.
Reseal can immediately after use.
Consult Material Safety Data Sheet prior to use.
Aro-Bond® 684 should be stored in the original containers in a cool, dry place, at a temperature range of between 5°C and 30°C. In these conditions it has a storage life of 12 months.
